President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has confirmed the recruitment of 30,000 young individuals into the public service. The government has already allocated funds, and advertisements are being published in newspapers for applications.
Additionally, the government is expanding welfare programs, planning to provide 'Aswesuma' benefits to 400,000 families by June. A special food relief program will also offer a Rs. 5,000 food bag for Rs. 2,500 through Sathosa to assist struggling families.
