This is a Diploma Course offered by the Department of Public and International Law. It meets the standards of the Sri Lanka Qualifications Framework (SLQF) Level 3. The course includes interactive lectures, team-based and independent learning, minor projects, and group activities using student-centered methods and the K-SAM model.

🎯 Programme Objectives:

This course includes 8 course modules:

• Constitutional Law
• Criminal Law
• Administrative Law
• Human Rights Law
• Public International Law
• Environmental Law
• Humanitarian Law
• Law of the Sea

The course covers core principles of Public Law, legal systems, constitutional law, and international legal frameworks.

📝 Evaluation Structure:

• Continuous Assessments – 40%
• Semester-End Examination (Open Book) – 60%

Note: 70% attendance is required to sit for examinations.

🎓 Admission Requirements:

• 3 A/L passes or equivalent
• 6 O/L passes + 2 years relevant experience
• Completion of SLQF Level 2 foundation course
• NVQF Level 4 + 5 years experience + 30 credit programme
• Advanced Certificate in Public & International Law
