Sri Lanka Teacher Service Competitive Examination 2026 – 23,344 Vacancies
The Sri Lanka Teacher Service Competitive Examination 2026 has been officially announced with 23,344 vacancies approved by the Cabinet of Ministers. This is a major opportunity for graduates and development officers seeking government teacher jobs in Sri Lanka.
Types of Examinations
- Limited Competitive Examination – For Development Officers currently in Government Service.
- Open Competitive Examination – For graduates who are not in Government Service.
Age Limits & Qualifications
- Limited Examination: Age limit increased up to 45 years.
- Open Examination: Normal age limit is 35 years and expected to increase up to 40 years via Gazette.
Examination Subjects
- Paper I – Intelligence Quotient (IQ)
- Paper II – General Knowledge (90% education-related)
