Commissioner General of Examinations Indika Kumari Liyanage has announced that steps are being taken to release the 2026 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination results before the end of 2026.
An exact results release date has not yet been officially announced. Candidates are therefore advised to follow updates issued by the Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka.

2026 A/L Examination Details
The 2026 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination commenced on 10 August 2026 and is scheduled to continue until 05 September 2026.
A total of 372,310 candidates are sitting for the examination at 2,532 examination centres across Sri Lanka.
The Department of Examinations has not announced an exact day or time for the release of the 2026 A/L results. The current official expectation is that results will be issued before 31 December 2026.
