🎯 Next Sri Lanka Job Training Programme Registration 2025 – Samurdhi Department

The Department of Samurdhi Development, Ministry of Rural Development, Social Security and Community Empowerment invites youths to apply for the fully funded vocational training programme through Next Sri Lanka.

  • 50,000 Fully Funded Scholarships
  • Interview Dates: July 15 – 23, 2025
  • Venue: All Divisional Secretariats (DS Offices) – Islandwide

In a significant move to address youth unemployment and empower low-income families, the Department of Samurdhi Development, affiliated with the Ministry of Rural Development, Social Security, and Community Empowerment, has introduced a full scholarship job training program. This initiative, part of the broader Next Sri Lanka state program, seeks to provide 50,000 young men and women aged between 18 and 35 with the skills necessary for both local and overseas employment. The program supports the government’s goal of empowering two million families within the next five years.

To coincide with International Youth Skills Day on July 15, a week-long series of skill assessment interviews will be held at all Divisional Secretariat offices across the country from July 15 to 23, between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Interested candidates can register online at www.nextsrilanka.lk. This initiative not only addresses immediate employment needs but also aims to build a skilled workforce, contributing to national development and economic growth.
