Diploma in Counselling 2026 – University of Jaffna

The University of Jaffna invites applications for the Diploma in Counselling – 2026. This one-year diploma programme is conducted in the Tamil medium and is designed to develop academic knowledge, counselling skills, and professional attitudes required for effective counselling practice in Sri Lanka. The programme follows the Sri Lanka National Association of Counsellors (SRILNAC) Standards of Practice and prepares students for ethical and professional counselling roles in clinical and community settings.

Eligibility / Admission Criteria

Applicants must satisfy the basic minimum requirements for admission to Universities in Sri Lanka. Selection is based on an Entrance Examination and an Interview.

• Entrance Examination duration: 1 Hour
• Exam evaluates ability, knowledge, and sharpness in counselling
• Interview assesses experience, exposure, and interest in counselling or social service
