Educational Qualifications
Qualifications vary according to the selected post. Applicants may be required to possess one or more of the following:
- UGC-recognized bachelor’s degree relevant to the position.
- Master’s degree, postgraduate qualification or PhD in a relevant field.
- Membership of a recognized professional Chartered Institution.
- Attorney-at-Law qualification for the Executive Director – Legal post.
- Engineering degree with relevant IESL recognition and ECSL registration for specified engineering posts.
- NVQ Level 5, Level 6 or Level 7 qualifications with relevant experience for the Technical Officer post.
Required Work Experience
Required experience ranges from no mandatory experience for certain entry-level positions to extensive managerial and senior managerial experience for executive-level posts.
- Deputy Director General: Up to 20 years of relevant managerial experience under the applicable qualification route.
- Executive Director Positions: Up to 17 years of managerial experience under the applicable qualification route.
- Senior Deputy Director: Minimum 13 years of managerial experience.
- Assistant Director: Minimum one year of relevant post-qualification experience.
- Technical Officer: Experience requirements depend on the NVQ level or degree qualification held.
Salary Scales

Government-approved allowances will be paid in addition to the applicable monthly salary.
Age Limit
The specified upper age limit will not apply to eligible employees currently working in the State Sector.
