Bachelor of Arts (General) External Degree – 2026 applications are now open at the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka. This is a government-recognized external / distance learning degree programme suitable for A/L qualified candidates, diploma holders, and degree holders.

🎓 Eligibility / Entry Requirements

Applicants must satisfy at least one of the following:

• ✔ Passed Prachina Prarambha Examination
• ✔ Passed three (03) subjects at G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) with minimum 30 marks in the Common General Test
• ✔ Already obtained a degree from a recognized university
• ✔ Passed a Higher Diploma in Buddhism, Pali, Sanskrit, English, or Tamil from this University
• ✔ Any other equivalent qualification accepted by the University Senate

🔹 Minimum Age: Applicants must be 18 years or above.

🗣 Medium of Study

The programme is conducted in Sinhala and English mediums. Medium changes are allowed within one month after registration, if required.
