📌 Position Details
- Organization: United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Sri Lanka
- Position: National Individual Consultant – Team Member 02
- Specialization: Gender Equality, Women Empowerment, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Population & Aging
- Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka (Field Travel Required)
- Contract Type: Individual Consultancy
- Duration: 30 Working Days (July 2026 – November 2026)
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Support the Gender Thematic Evaluation of the UNFPA Country Programme 2023-2027.
- Conduct Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs).
- Participate in field data collection and validation activities.
- Provide technical expertise on Gender Equality and Women Empowerment.
- Contribute to Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Sexual & Reproductive Health evaluations.
- Support stakeholder consultations, workshops and presentations.
- Assist in preparing evaluation reports and recommendations.
🎓 Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Gender Studies, Women Studies, Human Rights Law, Social Sciences, Development Studies or related field.
- 7-8 years of experience in evaluations, research, assessments, M&E, international development or humanitarian programmes.
- Strong knowledge of Gender Equality, Women Empowerment, GBV and Population Issues.
- Experience in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, report writing and communication skills.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of Sri Lanka's development context.
- UN or International Organization experience will be an added advantage.
🗣 Language Requirements
- Excellent English proficiency.
- Sinhala and/or Tamil language skills required.
- Fluency in all three languages will be an added advantage.
