Salary Scale

Salary Code: SL 1-2025

Rs. 82,150 – 10 × 2,400 – 8 × 2,940 – 17 × 3,900 – Rs. 195,970 per month

Salary will be paid according to Public Administration Circular No. 10/2025.

Educational Qualifications

Applicants must possess one of the following recognized university qualifications:

Option 01 – Special Degree

A recognized Special Degree with a class, including at least one of the following subjects as a main subject:

Option 02 – General Degree

A recognized General Degree with a First Class or Second Class Upper Division, including at least one of the following subjects as a main subject:

Statistics Mathematics Economics Demography Population Studies Computer Science Information Technology Geography Sociology Cartography

The degree must have been awarded by a university or institution recognized under the requirements stated in the official Gazette notice.

Age Limit

Applicants must be between 21 and 35 years of age as at the closing date.

Applicants must have been born on or before 10 August 2005 and on or after 10 August 1991.

Other Requirements

  • Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
  • Must possess an excellent character.
  • Must be physically fit to serve in any part of Sri Lanka.
  • All required qualifications must be completed by the closing date.
  • Selected applicants will be subject to a three-year probation period.

The examination will be conducted in Sinhala, Tamil and English. Applicants must answer both question papers in the same selected language medium.
