Qualifications for Each Vacancy
1. Chief Medical Officer – 01 Vacancy
External applicants: A UGC-recognized Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), a Master's degree in a relevant field, and at least 15 years of relevant management-level experience in Government, a State Corporation, statutory institution, board or recognized private organization.
2. Assistant General Manager (Factory) – 01 Vacancy
A UGC-recognized degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering, together with a relevant Master's degree or associate membership of an appropriate chartered professional institution, plus at least 15 years of relevant management-level experience.
3. Assistant General Manager (Marketing) – 01 Vacancy
A UGC-recognized degree in Marketing Management, Business Administration, Business Management or Commerce, plus a relevant Master's degree or appropriate chartered professional associate membership and at least 15 years of relevant management-level experience.
4. Assistant General Manager (Human Resources & Administration) – 01 Vacancy
A UGC-recognized degree in Human Resource Management, Law, Business Management, Public Administration or Business Administration, together with the specified postgraduate/professional qualification and 15 years of relevant management-level experience.
Salary Scale: Rs. 140,640 – 15 × 4,100 – Rs. 202,140.
Initial entitlement stated for 10.10.2026: Rs. 123,019, together with approved allowances.
5. Medical Officer – 01 Vacancy
A UGC-recognized BAMS degree and at least one year of relevant experience after obtaining the degree.
Age: 22–45 years for external applicants.
Salary Scale: Rs. 96,650 – 10 × 2,480 – 15 × 3,450 – Rs. 173,200.
6. Manager (Factory) – 01 Vacancy
A four-year full-time B.Sc. Engineering degree recognized by the UGC and Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka, or an equivalent qualification recognized by IESL. Applicants must also have the required registration with the Engineering Council of Sri Lanka and at least one year of relevant post-registration experience.
7. Manager (Costing) – 01 Vacancy
Applicants may qualify through a relevant UGC-recognized degree in fields such as Business Management, Accountancy, Commerce, Business Administration or Financial Management with relevant executive-level costing experience, or through the specified intermediate qualification from a Sri Lankan chartered professional institute together with relevant experience.
Salary Scale: Rs. 91,690 – 10 × 2,480 – 15 × 3,450 – Rs. 168,240.
Initial salary entitlement for 2026: Rs. 81,710.
8. Assistant Manager (Sales Promotion) – 02 Vacancies
A UGC-recognized degree in Management, Marketing or Commerce and two years of relevant post-qualification marketing experience.
9. Technical Officer (Mechanical / Electrical) – 01 Vacancy
The advertisement provides several qualification routes, including degree, NDT and NVQ qualifications. NDT in Mechanical or Electrical, NVQ Level 07, NVQ Level 06 and NVQ Level 05 routes are included, with different experience requirements according to the qualification held.
Important: One qualification route in the English advertisement refers to a specialized Civil Engineering degree even though the advertised position is Mechanical / Electrical. Applicants using this route should confirm the exact official requirement before submitting the application.
10. Quality Control Officer – 01 Vacancy
A UGC-recognized degree in Chemistry, Physics, Biological Science or Food Technology and two years of relevant post-qualification laboratory experience.
Salary Scale: Rs. 72,650 – 10 × 1,360 – 18 × 2,040 – Rs. 122,970.
Initial salary entitlement for 2026: Rs. 65,633.
11. Technical Assistant (Electrical) – 01 Vacancy
Completion of an Electrical Technician course with a qualification of at least NVQ Level 05 from a TVEC-recognized technical or vocational training institution. At least two years of practical service as an Electrician is treated as an added qualification.
12. Technical Assistant (Mechanical) – 01 Vacancy
Completion of an appropriate Mechanical Technology course with at least NVQ Level 05 from a TVEC-recognized institution. Two years of practical experience as a Mechanical Technician or Fitter is an added qualification.
13. Book Keeper – 01 Vacancy
A higher education course in Finance, Accounting, Accountancy or Commerce with at least NVQ Level 05 from a TVEC-recognized institution. Two years of bookkeeping experience is considered an added qualification.
Salary Scale: Rs. 50,540 – 10 × 540 – 7 × 630 – 4 × 890 – 20 × 1,190 – Rs. 87,710.
Initial salary entitlement for 2026: Rs. 46,960.
14. Management Assistant (Packing Inspector) – 01 Vacancy
Applicants must meet the specified G.C.E. O/L and A/L requirements and complete a recognized Packaging / Packing course together with one year of relevant experience.
15. Officer-in-Charge (Stores / Sales Outlets) – 04 Vacancies
Applicants must satisfy the required O/L and A/L qualifications and have completed a Storekeeping or Warehouse Management course from a Government or recognized private institution, together with one year of relevant experience.
Selected officers may be attached to the Corporation's stores and sales outlets located around Sri Lanka.
16. Officer-in-Charge (Medicine Garden) – 01 Vacancy
Applicants must meet the required G.C.E. O/L and A/L qualifications and have completed a course in Agriculture. The advertisement states that the separate agriculture-course requirement does not apply to candidates who passed Agriculture in the A/L stream.
Salary Scale: Rs. 46,220 – 10 × 540 – 7 × 630 – 4 × 890 – 20 × 1,190 – Rs. 83,390.
Initial salary entitlement for 2026: Rs. 43,312.
17. Driver – 03 Vacancies
Applicants must have passed at least six subjects including two credit passes at the G.C.E. O/L examination within not more than two sittings, possess the required Class D driving licence, and have at least three years of driving experience after obtaining the licence.
Salary Scale: Rs. 43,280 – 10 × 490 – 10 × 540 – 10 × 590 – 12 × 630 – Rs. 67,040.
Initial salary entitlement for 2026: Rs. 40,834.
18. Machine Operator – 03 Vacancies
Applicants must hold a qualification of at least NVQ Level 02 relating to machines and machine operation from a technical or vocational training institution recognized by TVEC.
19. Boiler Operator – 01 Vacancy
A qualification of at least NVQ Level 02 in boiler operation issued by a TVEC-recognized technical or vocational institution is required.
Salary Scale: Rs. 42,300 – 10 × 490 – 10 × 540 – 10 × 590 – 12 × 630 – Rs. 66,060.
Initial salary entitlement for 2026: Rs. 40,008.
20. Driver Attendant – 01 Vacancy
The educational requirement stated for external applicants is having sat for the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination.
21. Production Attendant / Sales Attendant – 04 Vacancies
The educational requirement stated for external applicants is having sat for the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination.
Age: 18–45 years.
Salary Scale: Rs. 40,500 – 10 × 450 – 10 × 490 – 7 × 540 – 15 × 590 – Rs. 62,530.
Initial salary entitlement for 2026: Rs. 38,488.
General Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must be citizens of Sri Lanka.
- Applicants must have the physical and mental fitness necessary to carry out the duties of the relevant post.
- Selected candidates should be prepared to serve in any part of Sri Lanka where required.
- Applicants must possess good character.
- Internal applicants must satisfy the internal-service requirements specified for the relevant service category.
Method of Recruitment
Recruitment will be carried out according to the approved recruitment scheme of the Sri Lanka Ayurvedic Drugs Corporation. Eligible applicants will be considered through a structured or professional interview conducted by an interview board appointed by the relevant appointing authority.
Employees will contribute 8% of salary to EPF. The employer contribution to EPF is 12%, while the employer will also contribute the applicable 3% to ETF.
