This government job opportunity is published under Public Service Commission Circular Note No. 4 of 2026. Selected candidates will initially be appointed in a temporary capacity and must complete approved training leading to the award of Brevet d’Etat de Cadre Sportif in Sports Management. Upon successful completion, candidates will be considered for permanent appointment as Senior Coach.

Eligibility & Qualifications

Officer in the grade of Coach with at least five (5) years substantive service
OR five (5) years substantive service in former grade of Coach (Swimming)
Good administrative and organising skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as a team leader

Important Training Requirement

Selected candidates must undergo theoretical and practical training for at least six months, arranged by the Ministry, leading to the award of Brevet d’Etat de Cadre Sportif in Sports Management.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Manage sports infrastructure and maintenance activities
Supervise coaches and training staff
Organise and implement training programmes
Advise on development and promotion of sports disciplines
Act as liaison officer between Ministry and Federations
Conduct training sessions at community, national and international levels
Use ICT in daily work

Salary Structure

Permanent and pensionable salary scale:

Rs 35,280 x 560 – 35,840 x 725 – 37,290 x 925 – 39,140 x 970 – 46,900 x 1,050 – 49,000 x 1,100 – 54,500 x 1,450 – 58,850 x 1,750 – 62,350 per month
