To be eligible for the LLB entrance exam and admission into the programme, applicants must fulfill one of the following criteria:

1. Three (03) passes at one sitting in any stream of the G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Examination in Sri Lanka.
2. Four (04) passes under the old A/L syllabus with at least three (03) obtained at the same sitting.
3. Completed 30 course credits at SLQF Level 2 or higher from any OUSL programme.
4. Attorneys-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka can gain direct entry to Level 4 (exempt from Level 3).
5. Any other qualification deemed equivalent or higher and accepted by the OUSL Senate.

AND candidates must also pass the LLB Selection Test conducted by the OUSL.
