OUSL Graduate Translator Vacancy 2026
The Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) has invited applications from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Graduate Translator Grade II (Sinhala/English).
Eligible applicants should complete the prescribed application form, attach the required supporting documents and submit the application by registered post so that it reaches the university on or before 09 October 2026.
Educational Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
A degree from a recognized university with Sinhala or Tamil as a subject.
A Credit Pass in English Language or English Literature at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination;
The applicant should have passed the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination or a higher examination in the English medium.
Preference will be given to graduates who have offered English as a subject for their degree and/or applicants who are proficient in all three languages.
Age Limit
Applicants should be not more than 45 years of age.
Salary Scale
The above salary scale will be fully operative with effect from 01 January 2027.
Salary placement applicable for 2026 will be made in accordance with University Grants Commission Circular No. 02/2025 (i) dated 04.04.2025. Other allowances applicable to the post may also be payable in addition to the salary.
Employment Benefits
- Universities Provident Fund contribution.
- Employee contribution: 10% of monthly earnings.
- University contribution to Provident Fund: amount equivalent to 7%.
- Employees' Trust Fund contribution.
- University Pension Scheme benefits, subject to the applicable university regulations.
