About the Institute

Industrial Technology Institute (ITI), formerly CISIR, is a Statutory Board under the Ministry of Industries. It is a Multidisciplinary Research Institute in Sri Lanka dedicated to promoting industrial development through R&D, Contract, Consultancy, Training and Technical Services.

Vacancy Summary

Position	Driver - PL 3 (On Contract Basis)
Salary	Rs. 40,834/- + Government approved allowances
Age Limit	18 - 45 years* *Not applicable to current Government/Corporation employees

📋 Qualifications & Experience

Passed six (06) G.C.E. (O/L) subjects with at least two (02) credit passes (max two sittings)
Valid heavy vehicle driving license from Commissioner General of Motor Traffic
Minimum three (03) years driving experience after obtaining license

💰 Employee Benefits

Provident Fund: Employee contributes 10%, Institute contributes 15% of gross salary
Employer contributes additional 3% to Employees Trust Fund

Job Description

Drive the vehicles safely
Maintain running charts properly
Keep the vehicle neat and tidy
Attend to minor running maintenance work
Ensure vehicle and accessories are in good condition
Notify maintenance crew of any maintenance requirements
Ensure availability of fuel, lubricants, radiator fluids, tire pressure etc. before journeys
Take care of goods and passengers in the vehicle
Inform Police, ITI and relevant authorities in case of accidents
