Commercial Bank Job Vacancies 2026 – Agriculture and Microfinance Business Development Associates
Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC has announced new job vacancies for 2026, calling applications for the post of Agriculture & Microfinance Business Development Associates. This opportunity is ideal for young, energetic individuals who are interested in working in the banking sector while supporting agriculture and microfinance development across Sri Lanka. The positions are available on an islandwide basis and provide hands-on exposure to rural banking operations.
Selected candidates will be responsible for identifying potential agriculture and microfinance clients, building relationships with farmers, small-scale entrepreneurs, and rural communities, and promoting Commercial Bank’s financial products and services. Duties include assisting branch staff with loan processing, client documentation, field visits, awareness programmes, and follow-up activities to ensure healthy loan portfolios. This role plays a key part in supporting financial inclusion and expanding access to banking services in underserved areas.
Applicants should have successfully completed GCE Advanced Level (A/L). Good communication skills, a positive attitude, and willingness to travel and work in field-based environments are essential. Prior exposure to agriculture, microfinance, or community development will be considered an advantage.
