The Automobile Engineering Training Institute (AETI – Japan Tec), functioning under the National Apprentice & Industrial Training Authority (NAITA), has invited applications from eligible Sri Lankan youth for admission to its full-time apprenticeship programmes for 2027.

Note: After recruiting apprentices for the full-time day courses, a limited number of apprentices may also be recruited for full-time evening courses with an additional 50% course fee.
Educational Qualifications
Automobile Technician / Automobile Electrician / Machinist-CNC / Automobile A/C Technician
Applicants should have passed the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination in not more than two sittings with six subjects, including:
- Sinhala
- Mathematics
- Science
Automobile Tinker / Automobile Painter
Applicants should have passed Grade 8 at a Government school or a Government-recognised school.
ICT Technician
Applicants should have passed the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination in not more than two sittings with six subjects, including Sinhala, Mathematics and English.
Scholarships & Special Opportunities
Scholarships are available for selected students from low-income families and Aswesuma beneficiary families.
According to the recruitment notice, male and female applicants with hearing and speech impairments may apply for selected courses including course numbers 1.2, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6 and 1.7.
