Educational Qualifications
Applicants must have passed the G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) Examination in six (06) subjects, including at least two (02) Credit Passes, in not more than two sittings.
Professional Qualifications
Professional qualifications relevant to the duties of the post will be considered an additional/special qualification.
Experience
Previous experience related to the duties of the Field Assistant (Labour) post will also be considered a qualification.
Other Requirements
- Applicant must be a Sri Lankan citizen.
- Applicant must possess good character.
- Applicant must have adequate physical and mental fitness to perform the duties.
- Applicant must be able to serve in any part of Sri Lanka.
- All required qualifications must be completed by the closing date.
Age Limit
The applicant must be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years as at the closing date of applications.
Salary Scale
Nature of Appointment
- Permanent appointment.
- Pensionable subject to applicable government policy.
- Appointment is subject to a 3-year probation period.
- The required first Efficiency Bar Examination must be passed within the prescribed period.
Main Duties
- Providing services required for administrative and institutional activities.
- Carrying out maintenance-related activities within institutional premises.
- Performing labour duties connected with farms operated by relevant technical colleges.
- Cleaning and maintaining garden and college premises.
- Performing other duties assigned by the head of the institution.
Selection Method
Eligible candidates will be selected according to the results of a structured interview conducted by an interview board appointed by the Director General of the Department of Technical Education and Training.
