The Finance Commission of Sri Lanka invites applications for the Technical Officer Grade III post through an Open Competitive Examination – 2026. This is a permanent & pensionable government job.

🧾 Job Description – Technical Officer Grade III

The Technical Officer Grade III is a permanent and pensionable post under the Sri Lanka Technological Service. Selected candidates will be attached to government institutions under the Finance Commission and will be responsible for providing technical support in engineering-related functions, project implementation, supervision, and maintenance activities.

Officers appointed to this position are expected to assist senior engineers and technical officers in planning, executing, and monitoring development projects, ensuring compliance with approved standards, specifications, and safety regulations. The role requires both fieldwork and office-based duties depending on institutional requirements.

Provide technical assistance in civil engineering and related works
Assist in supervision, inspection, and quality control of projects
Prepare technical reports, drawings, measurements, and estimates
Support maintenance and repair of government infrastructure
Ensure adherence to technical standards, safety rules, and regulations
Perform duties assigned by senior technical and engineering officers

📌 Work Locations: Candidates must be willing to serve in any part of Sri Lanka, including provincial councils, government departments, and field project sites.

💰 Salary: Rs. 52,250 – 100,040 (MN-3-2025)
