Open Competitive Examination for Recruitment to Grade III of the Executive Service Category

Monthly Salary Scale

Salary Code: SL 1–2025

Rs. 82,150 – 10 × 2,400 – 8 × 2,940 – 17 × 3,900 – Rs. 195,970

Salary will be paid according to Public Administration Circular No. 10/2025.

Educational Qualifications

Applicants should possess one of the following qualifications from a recognized university or degree-awarding institution:

Option 01 – Special Degree

A Special Degree with a class in which at least one of the following subjects has been studied as a main subject:

Statistics Mathematics Economics Demography Population Studies Computer Science Information Technology Geography Sociology Cartography
Option 02 – General Degree

A General Degree with a First Class or Second Class Upper Division, including at least one of the specified subjects as a main subject.

Age Limit

Minimum Age: 21 years

Maximum Age: 35 years

Applicants must have been born on or before 10 August 2005 and on or after 10 August 1991.

Other Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicants must be citizens of Sri Lanka.
  • Applicants must possess an excellent character.
  • Applicants must be physically fit to serve in any part of Sri Lanka.
  • All required qualifications must be completed by the closing date.
  • The selected candidates will be subject to a three-year probationary period.

The examination will be conducted in Sinhala, Tamil and English. Applicants must answer both question papers in the same language medium selected in the application.

Examination Fee

Examination Fee: Rs. 1,200

The examination fee must be paid using one of the payment methods provided through the online application system. Fees paid will not be refunded or transferred.
