🎓 Educational Qualifications

G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L):

Must have passed six (06) subjects in one sitting.
Must have obtained Credit passes for four (04) subjects.
The required subjects include Sinhala / Tamil / English language and Mathematics.

G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L):

Must have passed all required subjects at the G.C.E. A/L Examination in one sitting, excluding the Common General Test and General English.

🎂 Age Limit

Applicants must be: not less than 18 years and not more than 35 years of age as at 09 October 2026.

🏠 Residence & General Eligibility

Applicant must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
The required permanent residence conditions relating to Sabaragamuwa Province must be satisfied.
The Gazette specifies a three-year residence requirement and also contains provisions relating to the permanent residence of the applicant's spouse.
Applicant must be of good character.
Applicant must possess the physical and mental fitness required to serve in any part of Sabaragamuwa Province.
