The National Engineering Research & Development Centre of Sri Lanka (NERDC) under the Ministry of Science and Technology has announced applications for the post of Director General – HM 2-3. Qualified Sri Lankan professionals with engineering qualifications and senior management experience are invited to apply.

Vacancy Details

• Position: Director General – HM 2-3
• Organization: National Engineering Research & Development Centre (NERDC)
• Ministry: Ministry of Science and Technology
• Experience: 20 years experience after first degree
• Senior Management Experience: Minimum 10 years
• Age Limit: 30 – 50 years

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (4 years) with First or Second Class Upper Division from a UGC recognized university.
• Corporate Membership (Chartered) of a recognized professional body such as the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka.
• OR Master’s Degree in Engineering.
• Five years post charter experience required.

Salary Scale

HM 2-3 – 2025: Rs. 173,000 – 231,200

Additional allowances include professional allowance, communication allowance, cost of living allowance, EPF/ETF contributions, transport allowance or official vehicle, and medical reimbursements according to government regulations.
