Educational Qualifications
External Applicants
- G.C.E. A/L – 03 subjects.
- G.C.E. O/L – 06 subjects in one sitting, with at least 04 Credit passes including Sinhala/Tamil, English and Mathematics.
- A B.Sc. degree will be an added preference.
Internal Applicants (Government Service)
- Must satisfy the above O/L and A/L qualifications.
- At least 05 years of satisfactory service in a permanent post.
- Recommendation from the Head of Department.
- A B.Sc. degree will be preferred.
Experience and Skills
Candidates with at least 02 years of experience in office accounts, administration, procurement, project administration or a related field will be preferred.
- Computer literacy, including MS Office and general IT applications.
- Good communication skills in Sinhala/Tamil and English.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Good character and physical and mental fitness.
- Government or donor-funded project experience is an advantage.
- Experience with computerized accounting packages or foreign-funded projects is an added advantage.
Employment Conditions
The appointment is initially for one year on a contract basis. Annual extensions depend on satisfactory performance and project requirements, up to the end of the project. This appointment does not provide permanent public service status.
Remuneration and other conditions follow Department of Management Services Circular No. 02/2026, paragraph 3.2.3, dated 28 March 2026.
