The Sri Lanka Department of Examinations has officially called applications for the Daham Pasal (Sunday School) Final Certificate Examination – 2026. According to the official Gazette Notification published on 26 June 2026, eligible Daham Pasal students can now submit their applications through their respective Daham Pasal principals before the closing date.

This examination is conducted annually by the Department of Examinations to evaluate students who have successfully completed the Daham Pasal education programme. Candidates who pass all four subjects will receive the official Daham Pasal Final Certificate issued by the Sri Lanka Department of Examinations.

Examination Summary

Who Can Apply?

Only students studying at registered Daham Pasal schools under the Department of Buddhist Affairs are eligible to apply. Private candidates cannot directly submit applications to the Department of Examinations.

The applicant should satisfy at least one of the following qualifications.

• Passed G.C.E. Ordinary Level with six subjects including Buddhism.
• Passed the Daham Pasal Grade 10 Examination conducted by the Department of Buddhist Affairs.

How to Apply for Daham Pasal Final Certificate Examination 2026

1. Download the official application or obtain it from your Daham Pasal Principal.
2. Fill the application carefully using your National Identity Card details.
3. Choose your examination medium (Sinhala or English).
4. Select your preferred examination centre.
5. Submit two completed copies to your Daham Pasal Principal.
6. The Principal will certify and forward your application to the Department of Examinations.
7. Applications must reach the Department before 24 July 2026.
