The Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) has officially called applications for the prestigious BA (Honours) in Tamil & Tamil Language Teaching Degree Programme. This four-year honours degree programme is specially designed for teachers, aspiring educators, government employees, and students who wish to build a professional career in Tamil language teaching and education.

The programme offers comprehensive knowledge in Tamil Language, Tamil Literature, Linguistics, Language Teaching Methodologies, Educational Psychology, Curriculum Development, and Modern Teaching Techniques. Students will gain both theoretical and practical knowledge required for successful careers in the education sector.

• Three (03) passes at G.C.E. Advanced Level with Tamil as a subject.
• OR Three passes at G.C.E. A/L in Tamil Medium and a minimum Grade "B" in Tamil & Tamil Literature at G.C.E. O/L.
• OR National Diploma in Teaching (Tamil Language) from a National College of Education.
• OR Any equivalent qualification accepted by the Senate of the Open University of Sri Lanka.
