2026 GCE Advanced Level (A/L) Examination – Marking Examiners Recruitment Open
The Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka has officially called applications from qualified teachers, teacher advisors, and educational personnel to serve as GCE Advanced Level (A/L) Examination Marking Examiners for 2026.

Who Can Apply?
- Government School Teachers
- Teacher Advisors
- Educational Resource Personnel
- Qualified Teachers from Private & International Schools (Selected Subjects)
- Teachers currently teaching GCE A/L Classes
- Applicants possessing relevant degree, diploma, or subject qualifications
Important Requirements
- Applicants must possess relevant educational qualifications.
- Must be actively engaged in teaching related A/L subjects.
- Incomplete applications will be rejected.
- Candidates facing disciplinary investigations are not eligible.
- Applicants whose close family members sit for the examination cannot apply.
- Applications must be submitted online only.
Available Marking Centres
Colombo, Maharagama, Horana, Kalutara, Negombo, Gampaha, Ratnapura, Badulla, Galle, Matara, Kurunegala, Kuliyapitiya, Anuradhapura, Kegalle, Kandy, Batticaloa, Vavuniya and Jaffna.
Note: Marking activities are expected to continue for approximately 14 days. Accommodation, transport and allowances will not be provided by the Department of Examinations.
