Applications are invited for the Legal Officer vacancy at the Wakf Board of Sri Lanka under the Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs. The appointment is offered on a full-time contract basis for suitably qualified Sri Lankan applicants.

Educational Qualifications

Applicants should have been sworn in as an Attorney-at-Law in the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka.

Required Working Experience

Applicants must possess at least one year of active legal practice or professional legal experience after enrolment as an Attorney-at-Law.

Other Qualifications

• Proficiency in written and spoken Sinhala, Tamil and English.
• Sound proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Wakf Act of Sri Lanka will be an added advantage.

Age Limit

Candidates should be not less than 21 years and not more than 45 years of age on the closing date for applications.

Salary

Appointment Period

Employment will initially be offered on a one-year contract basis. The appointment may be renewed subject to satisfactory performance and departmental requirements.
