Deputy General Manager (Development) & Tea Inspector / Extension Officer

The Tea Small Holdings Development Authority under the Ministry of Plantation and Community Infrastructure has officially released new government job vacancies for 2026. Applications are invited from suitably qualified Sri Lankan citizens.

📌 Vacancy 01: Deputy General Manager (Development)

• Number of Vacancies: 01
• Service Category: Senior Managerial Service (HM 1–1)
• Salary Scale: Rs. 140,640 – 15 x 4,100 – Rs. 202,140
• Age Limit: 35 – 55 years (Not applicable for internal applicants)
• Selection Method: Structured Interview

Qualifications:
A recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Science / Agriculture / Plantation Management / Business Administration or Management, with a Postgraduate Degree or membership of a reputed Chartered Institution and at least 15 years managerial experience in Government, Corporation, Statutory Board or reputed private institution.

📌 Vacancy 02: Tea Inspector / Extension Officer

• Number of Vacancies: 25
• Service Category: Management Assistant (Technological) – MA 2-3 III
• Salary Scale: Rs. 52,700 – 10 x 800 – 11 x 1,900 – 10 x 1,350
• Age Limit: 18 – 45 years
• Selection Method: Written Exam + Interview

Qualifications:
NVQ Level 5 or above in Agriculture / Plantation Management / Plantation Extension / Tea Technology issued by a recognized technical or vocational institution.
