Educational Qualifications
Applicants should have passed the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination in six subjects in one sitting.
- Credit pass in Sinhala, Tamil or English Language.
- Credit pass in Mathematics.
- Credit pass in Science.
- Credit pass in one other subject.
- Six subjects must have been passed in one sitting.
Professional Qualification
Applicants should have successfully completed a 2½-year technical course recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) and obtained the relevant certificate.
Age & Physical Requirements
- Age: Not less than 18 years and not more than 35 years as at 28 September 2026.
- Applicants should be born on or after 28 September 1991 and on or before 28 September 2008.
- Minimum height should be 5 feet 4 inches.
- Applicants must satisfy the required eyesight test.
- Applicants should be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of the post anywhere in Sri Lanka.
- According to the Gazette notice, applications are invited from eligible male applicants.
Selection Examination
Eligible applicants will be selected through an open written competitive examination. The examination includes a Technical Knowledge paper of 2 hours carrying 100 marks, with a required pass mark of 50.
Candidates obtaining the highest marks will be called for the relevant interview and verification of qualifications and physical fitness.
Examination Fee
The examination fee is Rs. 1,200.00. Applicants should carefully follow the payment instructions given in the official Gazette and attach the required receipt to the application.

Candidates should prepare and complete the application according to the specimen application form published with the recruitment notice. The correctly completed application should be sent by registered post to reach the relevant authority on or before 28 September 2026.
