01. Procurement Officer – Grade III – 04 Vacancies
Salary Scale
According to Public Administration Circular No. 10/2025 dated 25 March 2025, the salary scale applicable to the Procurement Officer Grade III post is:
Salary Code: MN 4 – 2025
Government-approved allowances applicable to public officers may also be payable in accordance with the relevant regulations.
Nature of Appointment
- The post is permanent.
- The appointment is pensionable.
- Selected candidates will be subject to a three-year probation period.
- The required Efficiency Bar Examination must be completed according to the approved recruitment scheme.
- Selected officers must acquire the required official language proficiency where applicable.
Basic Eligibility Requirements
- Applicant must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
- Applicant must possess an excellent character.
- Applicant must have sufficient physical and mental fitness to serve in any part of Sri Lanka.
- All required qualifications must be completed on or before 26 October 2026.
Educational Qualifications
Applicants must satisfy one of the following qualification routes:
Option 01 – Relevant Degree
A degree obtained from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission with at least one of the following subjects:
- Mathematics
- Science
- Management
- Information Technology
- Commerce
- Business Management
- Economics
- Statistics
Option 02 – Any Degree + Experience
A degree in any field from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission together with two years of experience in the procurement field.
Age Limit
Applicants must be:
- Not less than 21 years, and
- Not more than 35 years
The age requirement is calculated as at 26 October 2026.
Examination Fee – Rs. 1,200
The examination fee is Rs. 1,200.00.

Examination Medium
The examination will be conducted in:
Candidates must answer all examination papers in the same language medium. The examination medium stated in the application cannot later be changed.

Candidates who pass the written examination will be ranked according to merit. Candidates equal to twice the number of available vacancies may be called for the structured interview.
