Educational Qualifications
- Special Degree in Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Law, Management or Statistics from a UGC recognized university.
- G.C.E. O/L six subjects including credit passes for Sinhala/Tamil, English and Mathematics in not more than two sittings.
- 03 years post-qualifying research experience in a Government or recognized institution.
Age Limit
Applicants should be not less than 21 years and not more than 35 years as at the closing date. The upper age limit does not apply to confirmed Public/Provincial Public Service officers.
Job Duties
- Collect data and maintain research databases.
- Prepare background notes for bills presented to Parliament.
- Prepare fact sheets and statistical extracts.
- Assist Research Officers in desk research and research papers.
- Study research documents and extract relevant information.
Selection Method
Written Test
Maximum 100 marks. Tests knowledge and understanding of job duties.
Interview
Qualifications, work experience, communication skills and interview performance will be evaluated.
