Applications are invited from suitably qualified Sri Lankan citizens for several vacancies at the Office for National Unity and Reconciliation (ONUR). ONUR is an institution established under the Office for National Unity and Reconciliation Act, No. 01 of 2024.

Vacancies are available from senior management level to Development Officer, Management Assistant, Driver and Office Assistant positions. According to the published vacancy notice, a total of 42 positions are available. 1. Director General – 01 Vacancy

Service Category: HM 1-3

The Director General functions as the Chief Executive Officer of ONUR. Applicants should check the official individual vacancy notice for the complete academic qualifications, professional experience, salary scale and other requirements.

2. Director – 03 Vacancies

Areas: Programmes, Planning, Finance & Administration

Applicants generally require a UGC-recognized degree in a field relevant to the respective position, together with relevant postgraduate qualifications and substantial managerial-level experience. For Director (Finance & Administration), relevant professional chartered qualifications may also be considered according to the official advertisement.

Age: 35 – 55 years

Salary Scale: HM 1-1 – Rs. 140,640 – 202,140

3. Secretary to the Board of Directors – 01 Vacancy

Applicants may qualify as an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court with at least one year of relevant post-qualification experience, or possess a UGC-recognized degree in areas such as Public Administration, Business Management, Law or another relevant field together with at least one year of relevant post-degree experience.

Age: 22 – 45 years. The maximum age limit does not apply to eligible internal applicants.

Salary Scale: MM 1-1 – Rs. 91,690 – 168,240

4. Deputy / Assistant Director – 02 Vacancies

Relevant fields include:

• Policy Development, Training, Awareness, Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation
• Coexistence, Reconciliation & Socio-Economic Development
• Media, Public Relations, Arts & Culture
• Education, Research, Studies & Human Rights
• Information Technology & Digital Facilitation
• Finance & Administration

A UGC-recognized degree relevant to the particular field and at least one year of relevant post-degree experience is generally required.

Age: 22 – 45 years. Maximum age does not apply to eligible internal applicants.

Salary Scale: MM 1-1 – Rs. 91,690 – 168,240

5. Internal Auditor – 01 Vacancy

Applicants should possess a UGC-recognized degree in Accounting, Public Administration, Business Administration or another relevant field, or have passed the Intermediate Examination of a recognized Chartered Professional Institute relevant to the post.

Age: 22 – 45 years

Salary Scale: JM 1-1 – Rs. 72,650 – 122,970

6. Administrative Officer – 01 Vacancy

A UGC-recognized degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Business Administration or another field relevant to the post is required.

7. Finance Officer – 01 Vacancy

Applicants should possess a UGC-recognized degree in Accountancy, Commerce, Business Administration or another relevant field, or have passed the Intermediate Examination of a recognized Chartered Professional Institute relevant to the post.

Salary Scale: JM 1-1 – Rs. 72,650 – 122,970

8. Development Officer – 16 Vacancies

A degree recognized by the University Grants Commission in a relevant field such as Public Administration, Peace & Conflict Resolution, Human Resource Management, Law, Sociology, Business Administration, Information Technology, Commerce, Financial Management, Business Management or International Relations.

Age: 22 – 45 years

Salary Scale: MA 3 – Rs. 53,940 – 94,980

9. Management Assistant (Non-Technical) – 10 Vacancies

Educational Qualifications:

• Passed six subjects at the G.C.E. O/L Examination in one sitting, with Credit passes in at least four subjects.
• Credit passes should include Sinhala/Tamil, Mathematics and English Language.
• Passed at least three subjects at the G.C.E. A/L Examination, excluding the General Common Test.
• Successfully completed a computer applications course of at least three months' duration.

Age: 18 – 45 years

Salary Scale: MA 1-1 – Rs. 46,220 – 83,390

10. Driver – 03 Vacancies

• Passed six subjects at G.C.E. O/L in not more than two sittings, including at least two Credit passes.
• Possess a valid heavy vehicle driving licence.
• At least three years of active driving experience after obtaining the required licence.

Age: 18 – 45 years

Salary Scale: PL 3 – Rs. 43,280 – 67,040

11. Office Assistant – 03 Vacancies

Applicants should have sat for the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination.

Age: 18 – 45 years

Salary Scale: PL 1 – Rs. 40,500 – 62,530

• Applicant must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
• Applicant should be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of the post.
• Applicant should be able to serve in any part of Sri Lanka.
• Applicant should be of good character.
• All required qualifications must be completed before the closing date.

Selection Method

Eligible applicants will be selected based on a structured interview conducted by an Interview Board appointed by ONUR. According to the common recruitment guidelines, the advertised positions are permanent and contributions will be made to the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) and Employees' Trust Fund (ETF).
