The Northern Province Public Service Commission has called applications for the Open Competitive Examination for Recruitment to the Post of Technical Assistant (Agricultural Extension) Grade III under the Department of Agriculture in Northern Province – 2026.

Educational Qualifications

Passed G.C.E. O/L Examination in six subjects in not more than two sittings.
Must include Language or Literature Sinhala / Tamil / English, Mathematics, and two other subjects with Credit Passes.
At least five subjects should be passed in one sitting.

Professional Qualifications

Applicants should have one of the following:

Two-year Diploma in Agriculture from a government-approved institution, or
NVQ Level 5 qualification relevant to the field, or
Equivalent qualification accepted by TVEC.

Exam Structure

Paper 01: Aptitude Test

Paper 02: General Knowledge & Subject Knowledge related to Agriculture

Age Limit

Applicants should be between 18 and 35 years as at the closing date of applications.
