National Building Research Institute (NBRI) Vacancies 2026 – Ministry of Defence Sri Lanka

The National Building Research Institute (NBRI) under the Ministry of Defence has announced new government job vacancies for qualified Sri Lankan citizens. Applications are invited for Senior Scientist, Scientist, and Management Assistant (Technical) posts.

🧑‍🔬 Available Vacancies

Senior Scientist AR-2 – Engineer (Civil – 1 Post), Material (1), Geologist (1), Environmentalist (1), Quantity Surveyor (1)

Scientist AR-1 (Grade II) – Engineer (Civil – 5 Posts), Material (4), Geologist (19), Town Planner (3), Quantity Surveyor (2)

Management Assistant (Technical) MA 2-2 Grade III – Civil, Quantity Surveying, Draftsman, Laboratory (10 Posts)

🎓 Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (3 or 4 years) in Engineering / Science / Technology from a UGC recognized university
• Postgraduate Degree / Diploma or Professional Membership (IESL / SLIA) for relevant posts
• NVQ Level 5 / NCT or Laboratory Diploma for Management Assistant (Technical) posts
• Relevant research experience and publications will be an added advantage

🎂 Age Limit

• Senior Scientist AR-2: 30 – 55 Years
