National Authority on Tobacco and Alcohol (NATA) – Ministry of Health and Mass Media
The National Authority on Tobacco and Alcohol (NATA), under the Ministry of Health and Mass Media, invites applications from qualified Sri Lankan candidates for Legal Officer and Counsellor vacancies in 2026.
These appointments will be made on a one-year contract basis. Eligible candidates are advised to carefully check the educational qualifications, professional experience, age requirements and application procedure before applying.

1. Legal Officer (MM 1-1) – Post 01
Educational & Professional Qualifications
- Should have taken oaths as an Attorney-at-Law at the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka.
- Minimum of 03 years post-qualifying experience in the relevant field.
Age Limit: Not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years.
Salary: Rs. 99,510.00 as per Management Services Circular No. 01/2025.
Employment Basis: Contract basis with EPF & ETF.
Contract Period: 01 Year.
2. Counsellor – Post 01
Educational & Professional Qualifications
Candidates should possess one of the following qualifications:
- A Special Degree in Psychology recognized by the University Grants Commission; OR
- A Bachelor's Degree with a Diploma in Counselling; OR
- A Bachelor's Degree with subjects including Psychology and Counselling.
In addition, applicants should have a minimum of 01 year post-qualifying experience in the relevant field after obtaining the first degree.
Age Limit: Not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years.
Salary: Rs. 67,631.00 as per Management Services Circular No. 01/2025.
Employment Basis: Contract basis with EPF & ETF.
Contract Period: 01 Year.
