Legal Aid Commission Job Vacancies 2026 – Management Assistant, Legal Officer & More

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Sri Lankan citizens for several vacancies at the Legal Aid Commission of Sri Lanka under the Ministry of Justice and National Integration.

Available Vacancies

1. Assistant Director (Finance) – 01 Vacancy

Location: Head Office

Qualifications – External Candidates

• A Degree in Finance, Accountancy or Management recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), with a minimum of five years post-qualifying experience in the relevant field in a managerial capacity in Government, a State Corporation, Statutory Board or recognized reputed institution; or
• Intermediate-level qualification from a recognized professional body such as ICASL, CIMA, ACCA or CMA, with a minimum of five years’ experience in financial management at managerial level.

Age Limit: 32–45 years as at 01.10.2026.

Salary Scale: MM 1-1-3 – Rs. 96,650 – 173,200 + Government-approved allowances + EPF/ETF.

2. Legal Officer – 05 Vacancies

Province-wise Vacancies: Western Province – 02 | Northern Province – 01 | Southern Province – 01 | Eastern Province – 01

Qualification: Active professional experience of not less than three years as an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka after taking oaths.

Age Limit: 28–45 years as at 01.10.2026.

Salary Scale: MM 1-1-1 – Rs. 91,690 – 168,240 + Government-approved allowances + EPF/ETF.

3. Internal Audit Officer (Grade II) – 01 Vacancy

Location: Head Office

Qualifications – External Candidates

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce or another relevant degree recognized by the UGC; or
• Intermediate-level examination passes from a recognized Chartered Professional Institute.

Age Limit: 22–45 years as at 01.10.2026.

Salary Scale: JM 1-1 – Rs. 72,650 – 122,970 + Government-approved allowances + EPF/ETF.

4. Management Assistant (Non-Technical) Grade III – 05 Vacancies

Province-wise Vacancies: Western Province – 03 | Northern Province – 02

Qualifications – External Candidates

• Passed six subjects at the G.C.E. O/L Examination in one sitting, with credit passes for four subjects including Sinhala/Tamil and Mathematics.
• Passed a minimum of three subjects at the G.C.E. A/L Examination, excluding the General Common Test.

Other Requirements: Excellent computer literacy and typing skills in Sinhala, Tamil or English.

Age Limit: 18–45 years as at 01.10.2026.

Salary Scale: MA 1-2 – Rs. 46,220 – 84,350 + Government-approved allowances + EPF/ETF.
