Applications have been invited for the Open Competitive Examination for Recruitment to Grade III of the Post of Colonization Officer in the Supervisory Management Assistant Technical Service Category of the Land Commissioner General's Department – 2026. A total of 58 vacancies are available.

Educational Qualifications
According to the recruitment notification and subsequent amendment, applicants must satisfy the prescribed G.C.E. Ordinary Level and Advanced Level requirements.
G.C.E. Advanced Level
Applicants should have passed three subjects at one and the same sitting from the permitted subject areas, which include:
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Agricultural Science
- Agricultural Technology
- Bio-Systems Technology
- Science for Technology
G.C.E. Ordinary Level
Applicants should have passed six subjects at one and the same sitting, including the required Credit passes specified in the official notification for language, Science, Mathematics and another subject.
Professional Qualification
Applicants should possess the required Two-Year Diploma in Agriculture awarded by an institution recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC), subject to the requirements stated in the official Gazette and amendment.
Other Eligibility Requirements
- Applicant should be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
- Applicant should be of excellent moral character.
- Applicant should be physically and mentally fit to serve in any part of Sri Lanka.
- All required qualifications should be fulfilled in accordance with the official Gazette and subsequent amendment.
Salary Scale
Rs. 52,250 – 10 × 800 – 11 × 1,190 – 10 × 1,320 – 10 × 1,350 – Rs. 100,040/-
Written Examination
The written examination is expected to be held in Colombo and will be conducted in Sinhala and Tamil media.
