Banking Assistant – Central Processing Unit | Cargills Bank Job Vacancy 2026

Cargills Bank PLC invites applications for the position of Banking Assistant – Central Processing Unit. This is a great opportunity for young candidates who want to start a career in the banking sector in Sri Lanka.


Job Responsibilities

  • Handle inward and outward cheque clearing using Core Banking Systems.
  • Process SLIPS transactions and bulk files from branches.
  • Handle USD drafts and support treasury reconciliation.
  • Prepare and lodge daily voucher bundles.
  • Maintain digital records and archive documents.
  • Generate statements for Central Bank reporting.
  • Perform daily GL reconciliations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 passes in G.C.E A/L.
  • Credit passes for English and Mathematics at G.C.E O/L.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office / Excel).
  • Banking experience will be an added advantage.
  • Age should be below 25 years.
