Educational Qualifications
Applicants should possess a B.Sc. (Nursing) Degree obtained from an eligible university or recognised institution.
- A B.Sc. (Nursing) Degree awarded by a foreign or state university recognised by the University Grants Commission; or
- A B.Sc. (Nursing) Degree awarded by a university established by an Act of Parliament in Sri Lanka; or
- A recognised B.Sc. (Nursing) Degree completed under the relevant provisions of the Universities Act.
Other Eligibility Requirements
- Applicant must be a Sri Lankan citizen.
- Both male and female candidates may apply.
- Applicant should be of good character.
- Applicant should be physically suitable for service anywhere in Sri Lanka.
- Age should be not less than 18 years and not more than 35 years as at 09.11.2026.
- The effective date of the relevant degree should be before 09.11.2026.
- Registration with the Sri Lanka Nursing Council should be obtained by the date of the interview.
Selection Method
Eligible candidates will be prioritised according to the effective date of the degree and GPA. Candidates selected from the priority list will be called for an interview.
According to the Gazette notice, 1,000 candidates are intended to be selected for the Nursing Orientation and Coordination training programme, subject to the applicable recruitment conditions and vacancies.

- Complete all required sections accurately.
- Attach a self-certified copy of the degree certificate.
- Attach a self-certified copy of the detailed academic transcript showing GPA.
- Pay the required Rs. 1,000 fee and attach the bank receipt to the application.
- Obtain the required certification of your signature.
- If you are already employed in the public or provincial public service, submit the application through the relevant Head of Department/Institution.
- Place the completed application in an envelope and send it by registered post so that it is posted on or before 09 November 2026.

The relevant recruitment title, degree and academic year should be clearly mentioned on the top-left corner of the envelope.
