2025 GCE O/L Results to Be Released by June 15, 2026 – Official Update

The Ministry of Education has announced that the results of the 2025 G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) Examination are expected to be released on or before June 15, 2026. Deputy Minister of Education Dr. Madhura Seneviratne stated that all final preparations are currently underway and the Department of Examinations is completing the remaining procedures before issuing the results.

  • Examination Period: February 17 – February 26, 2026
  • Total Candidates: 451,463
  • School Candidates: 382,249
  • Private Candidates: 69,214
  • Expected Results Release: By June 15, 2026

According to education authorities, answer script marking and result processing have already been completed. Officials are now carrying out final verification and documentation procedures to ensure the accuracy of the results before publication.

How to Check Your O/L Results Online

Students can check their examination results immediately after release through the official Department of Examinations result portal.

2026 G.C.E. A/L Examination Will Proceed as Scheduled

The Deputy Minister also addressed concerns regarding the upcoming 2026 G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Examination. He confirmed that despite requests from several parties seeking a postponement, the examination schedule will remain unchanged.

Education authorities stated that there is currently no requirement to revise the examination timetable and all preparations for the A/L examination are progressing according to plan.
